With over 20 years of combined Firefighting experience and over 15 years of experience building, leading and growing small businesses, we have our share of wins and losses. We will unpack the lessons we’ve learned along the way while also unpacking Life, Leadership and Development so that we equip you with the tools that you will need to succeed in your entrepreneurial journey.
Bennett and Jeff have been working together since 2012. Over the years, they have pursued growth each year in business, as leaders, as firefighters, and as family-men. Throughout their experiences, they understood that the lessons they were learning would be relatable and helpful in “bringing the next person up” both in the fire department and in the business. As Firepreneurs themselves, they also understand the unique balance firefighters face pursuing growth in their career as a firefighter and as business owners.
Bennett J. Grove II
As Founder and Owner of Firepreneurs, Bennett attained a majority of his small business acumen as the Founder, Owner and CEO of Fire Dawgs Junk Removal, a 7 figure home services company with three locations in Indiana. Bennett developed the concept of Fire Dawgs from his service in the military, having served the greatest country in the world for 6 years in the Air Force as a firefighter. After serving in the military, he transitioned his firefighting career to the civilian side working for the Department of Defense as a civilian firefighter. After 17 years in the fire service, Bennett has hung up his bunkers and boots to work full time in Fire Dawgs Junk Removal.
Fire Dawgs Junk Removal started with one truck and some fellow firefighters getting work done on their days off shift; however, it has since grown into an award winning services company in 3 locations, over 30 team members and 12 service trucks. This was possible using a “Lead. Develop. Grow.” mentality with the team members that came into Fire Dawgs. While continuing the buildout of Fire Dawgs, Bennett shares the wins and losses along the way to do what Leaders do best, bring the next Leader up!
Bennett will tell you what he enjoys most about the business is building leaders. However, what he loves the most in life is being a husband to his wife and a father to his two little boys.
Jeff McDole Jr.
Jeff has been an Indiana native his whole life. He attended Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana where he played baseball and studied history. After graduating from SJC in 2008, he attended Indiana State University for a Masters in Coaching. He spent a few years coaching baseball at the collegiate and High School levels.
In 2012, Jeff and Bennett connected through a mutual friend and began the Fire Dawgs relationship. Jeff moved through the ranks holding every position in the company. Fire Dawgs grew to 5 divisions and in 2015, one of those divisions sold. Jeff held titles of Director of Operations and Director of Business Development for the next 4 years.
In 2019, Jeff achieved his dream by becoming an IFD (Indianapolis Fire Dept) fireman. He graduated from the fire academy in the fall of 2019 and once again joined Bennett at Fire Dawgs. With his experience at one of the hardest hitting fire departments in the world, as well as his years as a Leader in the services industry, Jeff brings a dynamic and integrated mind to the Firepreneurs team.
